Modules Overview

AfricaOS modules are functional units you install per organization. Each module handles a specific business domain and can be configured independently.

Installing Modules

  1. Go to Settings → Modules → Available
  2. Browse or search for modules
  3. Click Install on desired module
  4. Complete setup wizard
  5. Configure permissions for your team

Module Configuration

Each module has:

  • General Settings - Module-wide preferences
  • Workflows - Automation rules, approvals
  • Fields - Custom fields, validation
  • Templates - Document, email, report templates
  • Integrations - External service connections
  • Permissions - Role-based access control

Module Status

  • Active - Fully configured, available to users
  • Setup Required - Installed but needs configuration
  • Inactive - Installed but disabled
  • Trial - Trial period active

Managing Modules

Updating

Modules update automatically. Major versions may require reconfiguration.

Disabling

Temporarily hide a module:

  1. Go to Settings → Modules → Installed
  2. Click Disable on the module
  3. Data is preserved, access removed

Uninstalling

Permanently remove a module:

  1. Disable the module first
  2. Click Uninstall
  3. Confirm - This deletes all module data
